We met through a friend in January 2023 and hit it off immediately. Since then, we have celebrated many milestones and have created a beautiful life together. We have two beautiful but crazy kitties and have fallen in love over the simplest of things. We are both people who love the small things in life and are sentimental about everything! You can easily find us collecting new Legos, dancing and dramatically singing to songs and taking pictures of our cats. We cannot wait to get married and continue to build an amazing life together. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all the people who mean the world to us. We are so grateful for the special people who will be standing by our sides while we say, “I DO!”

We are Diane and Hugh Miller, proud parents of Samantha Miller. Our journey together began in 1989, and we were married in 1993 in Welkom, Free State. A few years later, in March 2001, we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, Samantha. Since 1993, Johannesburg has been our home, and Samantha grew up in Alberton, developing into the remarkable young woman we are so proud of today. Watching Samantha grow into a kind, intelligent, faith-filled, and compassionate woman has been one of life's greatest blessings. As parents, there is no greater joy than seeing her happy and fulfilled. Diane works for an accounting firm, and Hugh owns his own web development studio and has authored 3 science fiction novels. We are thrilled to celebrate the marriage of our beloved daughter to Gerhard. We welcome him warmly into our family and are excited to see the wonderful future they will build together. Seeing Samantha and Gerhard embark on this new chapter fills us with immense pride and happiness. Samantha will always be our greatest treasure, and knowing she has found love, friendship, and partnership in Gerhard means the world to us. We wish them a lifetime of love, laughter, faith, and happiness. Welcome to the family, Gerhard.

Ons is die trotse ouers van die bruidegom. Ek, Tania, werk by Roodekrans Gemeente en in my spaartyd bak ek kunstige koeke vir partytjies, troues ens. Ek het deur die jare baie geleer by Gerhard. Vandag is ek 'n expert met dinge soos Goku, Buzz Lightyear en Extreme dinosaurs. Ek, Johan, hou myself besig met data-analise en programmering. My belangstelling is antieke geskiedenis en hoe dit skakel met die Nuwe Testament. Saam het ons twee Gerhard gesien grootword en ontwikkel. Ons het vroeg in 2023 agtergekom iets is anders aan hom - en kort daarna het ons haar ontmoet. In die afgelope paar jaar, op naweke, judo-vakansies en sosiale geleenthede het ons vir Sam leer ken as 'n sprankelende mens wat elke dag sommer opvrolik. Maar ook 'n diep en gefokusde mens - waaraan 'n mens kan sien uit watter soort huis sy kom.

I’m Ashleigh — a qualified foundation phase teacher who spends most of my days surrounded by tiny humans, big emotions, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting. I can be quite shy at first, but once you really know me, you’ll quickly realize I care deeply about the people I love and would do absolutely anything for them. Sam and I have known each other for almost our entire lives through church, school, and growing up around the same people, but our friendship truly found its footing towards the end of high school. Since then, she has become one of the most constant, genuine, and important people in my life. Our friendship has seen us through every stage of growing up - the good, the messy, the hilarious, and everything in between - and somehow it has only grown stronger with time. She is the kind of friend who feels like home, and I genuinely cannot imagine my life without her in it. And yes, one day we are still buying that farm filled with goats, chickens, and every animal we decide we absolutely need.

Danélle van Staden: I am an Intermediate Phase teacher specializing in Creative Arts, Afrikaans, and History. I am a vibrant, bold, and colourful person with a personality to match, loud, expressive, and unapologetically extravagant. Creativity is at the heart of who I am, and I find my greatest joy in anything artistic, hands-on, and imaginative. Whether it’s crafting, creating, or exploring something new, I am happiest when I’m bringing ideas to life. I have a deep love for animals and would probably own an entire farm if my husband didn’t keep me grounded. Above all, my faith is the foundation of my life. God is my rock, and I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for the place He has led me to in this world.

Danika Senekal. I am a receptionist at veterinary clinic. My favorite colours are light purple like jacarandas and royal blue. My favorite flowers are daisy and jacarandas, and I know they are weed, but dandelions. I am mostly a shy person, but when I know you and feel comfortable around you, I come out of my shell, then I am willing to talk and tell stories. In my spare time I like crochet and sometimes I cross stitch, I draw and dance. I have a love for animals that goes past any limits. If possible, I would to one day have a farm full of horses, a cat and a dog. I am grateful for God for the plan he has for me, for the person I and will be, and for everything and everyone that He brings in my life that makes me smile and feel loved.
